Constitution
Our statement of faith can be found below. It is rather lengthy, but it covers most questions newcomers or interested parties have about us.
Sundown & Conglomeration's Constitution
Preamble
Whereas many born-again Christians play online games, andWhereas we as Christians are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world and proclaimers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Matthew 5:13-14, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." andWhereas the Bible commands Christians to be separate from the world, i.e. sin, in II Corinthians 6:17, "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you," andWhereas to be successful this community must be organized and ran in an orderly fashion as the Bible commands in 1 Corinthians 14:40, "Let all things be done decently and in order."Therefore Sundown is established as a safe-haven for all born-again New Testament believers in Jesus Christ and family-friendly individuals who are accepting of the Christian beliefs to enjoy clean, online gaming entertainment in a protected, organized, & Christian environment.Article I: Statement of FaithSection A: The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the King James Bible, both Old & New Testament to be the infallible, inspired, inerrant, Word of God in the English language "...and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" (II Timothy 3:16) and shall be the guiding translation for Sundown. Other translations (ESV, NIV, e.g.) are accepted by Sundown and allowed to be shared by the community.Section B: The Holy Trinity
We believe that there is only one God who exists as three Persons, the Father (Jehovah), the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit (i.e. the Holy Ghost), Three in One. (Deut. 6:4; Mat. 12:32; 28:19; John 14:10, 26. 1 John 5:7)Section C: The Creation & Fall of Man
We believe that God created Man in His own Image (Genesis 1) and that Man fell into sin in the Garden of Eden, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12)Section D: Heaven
We believe that there is a literal Heaven where God dwells on His throne with Jesus sitting on His right hand, and is a true Haven of Rest for the Saints of God which are in Christ Jesus. (Rev. 4:2)Section E: Hell
We believe that there is a literal Hell which was originally made for the devil and his fallen angels, but is also the place where all those who have sinned and do not receive Christ by faith as their personal Savior will go to burn forever. Revelation 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Isaiah 5:14)Section F: The Gospel
We believe that Jesus Christ was miraculously born of a virgin, lived a perfect, sinless life, and died on the cross, shedding His blood for our sins, and He was buried, and He rose again the third day. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:".Section G: Eternal Salvation
We believe that Salvation is both everlasting and eternal. It is received upon realizing that you are a sinner, then believing by faith that Christ died for your sins and was buried, and rose again the 3rd day, and then by faith, asking Jesus to save you. Romans 10:13, "For whosover shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Salvation is by faith and faith alone in Jesus Christ, it is not of works (Ephesians 2:9) and is not through faith in any other person (John 14:6). Salvation is in Jesus, by Jesus, & through Jesus alone.Section H: The Imminent Return of Christ
We believe in the pre-millenial return of Jesus Christ to earth to rapture His faithful, the 7 year tribulation following the rapture, and the 1000 year reign of Christ also known as the Millennial reign. (Ps. 89:3, 4; Dan. 2:31-45; Zech. 14:4-11; I Thes. 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Rev. 3:10, 19:11-16; 20:1-6)Section I: The Judgement
We believe that everyone must give an account of themselves to God. All Christians must stand before God at the Judgement Seat of Christ and be judged according to their service to God for the receiving of their eternal rewards. The unsaved will stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgement and be judged according to their works to be sentenced to eternal death & torment in the everlasting Lake of Fire. (Rom. 14:10; II Cor. 5:10; Rev. 20:11-13)Section J: Marriage
We believe that marriage, as God intended, is between one man and one woman and that sodomy is a sinful abomination. (Gen. 2:24; Lev. 18:22)Section K: Abortion
We believe that abortion is murder under any circumstance and that life begins at conception. (Job 3:16; Psa. 51:5, 139:14-16; Isa. 44:24, 49:1, 5; Jer. 1:5, 20:15-18; Luke 1:44)Section L: Blood-Atonement
We believe that the blood of Christ was pure and sinless blood that completely atoned for the sins of all men who by faith receive Christ as their Saviour. (Matthew 26:28
